Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Cuppa. If you're under 18, you may only pay for a subscription with the permission of a parent or guardian who owns the payment method used.

2. Your account

• You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide an accurate email address so we can reach you about your account and billing.
• You may delete your account at any time from Settings; this permanently removes your posts, comments, and profile data.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Cuppa to:

• Post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, or sexually exploitative, including of minors.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
• Post spam, or content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users’ accounts.

We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the posts, comments, and images you upload ("your content"). By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. You're responsible for having the rights to anything you post.

5. Subscription & billing

• New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. You won’t be charged during the trial, and you can cancel at any time before it ends at no cost.
• Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card will be automatically charged £1.99/month, and your subscription will continue to renew monthly until you cancel.
• You can cancel anytime from Settings → manage or cancel subscription, which opens Stripe’s secure billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
• We don’t offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
• If a payment fails, we may restrict access to posting or other features until it’s resolved.
• We’ll give you reasonable notice by email before any price change takes effect for existing subscribers.

All payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details — see our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Termination

You may stop using Cuppa and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we'll refund any prepaid period you haven't used.

7. Disclaimer & liability

Cuppa is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be excluded under English law, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in-app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
